Celebrating 10 Years in New England and now in San Francisco (Alameda and
Oakland).
Still building the Hard, Fast and Strong!
See what our clients and the press have said about FitBoot!
"After 3 years of inactivity and just being fed up, I decided to
finally do something after coming across (by accident)Fitboot's flyer. My first thought was "oh my, it
starts at 6:00 in the morning! There is no way!" but after much thinking realized it was necessary. This
program has been one of the best things I did for myself...Charla is a great motivator and works with
you to reach your fitness goals. I'll admit the first 2 weeks were difficult...for 1, I'm not a runner nor was
I used to ANY exercise program...so it was tough...Charla helped me get through the mental hurdles
and pushed me to believe in myself. I plan on continuing for as long as she stays in business!
:o)."
"Charla has transformed my body into something that I didn't
think was possible. After years of doubting myself and not thinking that I would ever be in shape again,
Charla's motivation has allowed me to surpass all of the goals I've placed for myself. I HIGHLY
recommend her!!
"
"It has been a year since I broke my leg, and never thought
I
would walk again, let alone be in FitBoot class again! Every day I still cannot believe that I'm
actually
jumping around and am more active now than prior to the injury. I ran my first road race ever -
2 5Ks and then a 10K this past weekend. It's truly amazing what you can accomplish if you stay
motivated and work hard and don't give up. It hurt to do jumping jacks when I first came back to
class and I thought "maybe this isn't such a good idea". In any event, just wanted to say thanks
for your encouragement and guiding me through my injury - I'm a new person.
Thanks."
-- L. Corrigan, Boston, MA
"Charla provides a great balance of fitness, muscle shaping and
nutrition guidance for improved health. I started working out again on a daily basis and have enjoyed
Charla's fitness activities and motivation. I would highly recommend the program.."
-- D. Rehnstrom, Pleasant Hill, CA
"I just wanted to say (again) that it has been a real
pleasure being a part of Fitboot. Nearly a year ago, I spent a great deal of time hesitating on
clicking that mouse button on the enlistment, until [another client] finally said 'just do it, you
won't regret it.' I haven't looked back in regret since. My only regret is that I didn't join up 10
years ago.
You are an amazing motivator, an incredible instructor, and an outstanding leader. I guess one
of the things that impresses me is your sincere interest in each individual, including myself.
That is a key quality that makes you different from everyone else. I am also impressed
with the scope of your influence in my family. Besides my own fitness, my mother has
benefitted greatly from your instruction and advice. I have reports from my mom that even my
Dad (a former ARMY man) has been sneaking peeks into your book! I'm guessing success
speaks for itself. I had a long road of recovery after a serious car accident, and I know both my
parents were concerned that I would never gain back any strength or endurance. Your program
proved to me (and them) that I could not only recover, but go beyond....not to mention returning
to flight status. "
-- L. Kessler (USAF(R)), Boston, MA
"After years of inactivity I was surprised at how quickly I got
used to the early morning workouts. Now I depend on them! Charla offers a refreshingly realistic
approach on how to integrate exercise, healthy eating and a positive attitude into real life. I look, and
feel, better than I have in 20 years and I owe it all to Charla's motivation, encouragement, and
knowledge. I highly recommend Fitboot!."

"I thought I would let you know what a positive influence
your program was on me. Although it took me about another year to get "motivated, motivated,
downright motivated"!! In October 2005 after a year of being happily married, I changed jobs
and changed my exercise and eating habits. I have lost 30lbs since last I saw you and running,
yes that's right, RUNNING is my exercise of choice!!
When I started the Fitboot program I had never run before in my life. Now I run a minimum of
3-4 miles on the treadmill 3-5 times a week. When the weather is nice I run outside. My
husband is an avid runner and he's so happy that I have come to love it too."
-- D. O'Kane, Weymouth, MA
"Thank you so much for all of your support and
encouragement throughout my training this summer. You were tough but that's exactly what I
needed--the no-nonsense approach."
"At every stage, [McMillian] pushes [Recruits]
to work as hard as they possibly can - in a tough but supportive way."
Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine
May 2002
"I went through about 2-3 rounds of FitBoot with you before moving to Dallas. I'm back in
Boston now but not [yet] able to start again.
Just wanted to let you know that I've continued to exercise and eat right - and am now down to
176 lbs (5'8") from about 215 when I started with you. After doing FitBoot, I realized that
sweating was not such a bad thing, and found out how much better I felt if I ate right and
exercised. It is more difficult on my own, but I'm continuing to work hard to get to my goal
weight and be healthy. FitBoot is the reason I can claim any success - in fact my friends and
husband still ask me if I will ever see progress like I did during the 12 weeks of your class.
Thanks for getting me on the right path!"
"It's the mixture of expectation and support
that has made [McMillian's] programs popular."
-- The Boston Herald Dec. 23, 1998

turns them into muscle-hungry machines who succumb to her demands that
they give more of themselves physically and emotionally than they ever
thought possible."

have committed to this and am working out about 4-5 times a week."
[same client 4 years later]
"I want to thank you again for being an
unbelievable motivator and encourager. You have really made my experience

this program. Thank you for everything."

"Thanks for helping me progress so much
over the past 6 weeks. I feel great. See you at FitBasic!"
"Just a note to let you know how much I'm
loving my training, even though I hate PUSHUPS!"
"I wanted you to know how thankful I am
for all that you've done for me. I had reached a real low in my life before I met
you. Now, thanks to all your help, understanding and encouragement I feel good
about myself again. For the first time in years I can play tennis, volleyball and
go skiing with my family. Passing the test will be great, but for me the real
reward is how I feel and the things I am able to do once again. So thank you from
the bottom of my heart!"
"Thanks for all you do. I am feeling better now than I ever
have before because when you look good, you feel good . . . You are a big part of
that."
"Just wanted to let you know that because
of your training I was able to complete the Falmouth Road Race this weekend in
65 minutes - which was not too bad for me considering it was the first time in my life
that I've run over 5 miles at one time!!! I think that just having that "fitboot" mentality
of not giving up is what got me through the last 2 miles."
"I have been involved in all sorts of fitness
programs and yours blows them all away. Since I was a competitive swimmer
as a kid/teen/young adult, I never had to think about keeping in shape. Once I stopped
competing . . .I had to do something organized. . ..I need a qualified coach and positive
peer pressure. I found both at FitBoot . . . Nothing else delivers results so well and
with such fun. Rock on."
"I wanted to thank you - [FitBoot] has been
absolutely wonderful, one of the things I will miss dearly from Boston. You and
the program have made me realize that a 'good body' is not about the images of girls
in the magazines, but about what it is capable of - strength, more than looking skinny.
And that eating is about giving the body fuel, not about counting calories and
starving. And for that, I thank you"
A. Polla, Washington, D.C.
"FitBoot has done nothing less than enable
me to transform my body and mind. I started FitBoot at 240 lbs, 34% bodyfat and
today I am at a lean 179 lbs, 10% bodyfat. I have done a 180 on my exercise and
eating habits.
Charla's program was open enough that I could join when I was out of shape and challenging
enough that even on days when I thought it would be easy I had a great workout.
Her expert knowledge of training and nutrition also helps when something aches (usually it's a
good thing) or you're wondering how to eat right.
For years I had gotten used to sitting on my ass watching tv and eating whatever I wanted. In the
same way I got used to waking up at 5:20, trucking to the Esplanade and working out whatever
the weather. But more importantly I got used to eating healthy, being in shape, having high self-
esteem and knowing that it was within my power to maintain that lifestyle. Charla has been an
inspiration and mentor in achieving those goals.
Trust in FitBoot. "
" I just want to say thank you. Since I got back into
bootcamp, I've noticed changes in both my appearance and my attitude--and you're responsible
for both. I've dropped about 12 pounds and have made some real progress toward my fitness
goals. Granted, I've still got a long way to go, but at least now it feels possible. So thanks for
pushing me (of course, I wouldn't mind if you did a little less pushing during those damn flutter
kicks...), and for devoting extra time to checking up on my diet, etc. I really do appreciate
it."
"In about six months I lost 40-45 pounds and my body fat
went from over 30% to under 20%. Losing the weight has allowed my chronic Achilles
tendonitis to heal and my back pain is gone. I went from struggling through a one mile run to
completing the 7.1 mile Falmouth Road Race. On day one I only did 12 situps. On [next week's
PFT] I expect to do 65-70."
M.Parsons, Charlestown, MA
"Fitboot helped me to lose almost 30lbs. With the
continued support and encouragement of Charla and her instructors I have been able to keep it
off, improve my fitness level and have fun doing it. When I first joined [two years ago] I could
barely do 20 sit-ups in two minutes; now I can do over 90! ."
P. Riley, Chelsea, MA
NOTE: this client has made even more progress and became the co-model
for Charla's book Boot Camp Abs
" First and foremost thank you for such a successful
program. I can say with a high degree of confidence that, in the last 10-12 years -- and after
MANY fits and starts, I have never achieved such positive and measurable results in such a short
period of time.
Not since 1990-91 have I managed to run 6 miles. However -- today I went for a 4-mile run.
Around mile 3, I felt pretty damn good and set 6 miles as my goal. The first 5 felt great. Mile 6
was tough and required 3 or 4 30-pace walk breaks. But I did it and feel awesome. Fitboot gave
me the foundation to build from. I WOULD NOT have done this without that foundation. . ..
Oh, and PS -- [my wife] (*a FitBoot One-to-One training client) is thrilled with her
progress and I'm thrilled for her. She called me when I was on the road last week and told me
she lost 3 lbs. Charla -- she has not had success like that for years despite working so hard.
Thank you for helping her on the way to her goals. You have no idea how much of an impact
you've had!
Hoo yeah!!!! and THANKS!"
